Ariadne permits you, the user, to gather any data type, put it into any order or group that works for you: on-line, off-line - from the internet or from your system.

So what is it?

Part of it is a tabbed IE compatible browser overlay with built in pop up window protection. And it has separate 'Desktop', 'Calendar' & 'History' windows -- all accessible by short cut keys or single mouse clicks.

It offers a calendar of appointments & daily journal notes & comments

It can be a list of internet bookmarks stored & organized in outline forms as you wish, be it URL links or off line pages, files & folders. And you can add your comments to any of these items.

It allows you to create a list of ToDo's & prioritize them graphically

It allows you to build & maintain a customized address book in a form or table format of your choice. You can import & export it to common file types

It can call your default email client for easy emailing of Ariadne data.

It stores your internet history & in a separate list it stores & displays your Ariadne activities by date.

It can save, format & export text in rtf, html or ASCII txt.

It is an 'explorer' for your system's files & folders.

It easily captures & stores graphics from the internet.

It is the dual search engine: servicing both your own local data & parallel internet searches using multiple engines of your choice simultaneously

It allows password protection for specific files or folders

You can easily create uncluttered 1 or 2 key links to your favorite external programs or sites.

It categorizes your information by "grep" or type from "particle" to duplicate items, and allows search for individual items.

It knows how many items you have in each table or form & can identify duplicate items for deletion.

It can archive, purge, export or print your data to html, txt, csv or Ariadne 'tad' formats.

All data types can be stored in folders, sorting boxes or lists.

Information can be represented in outlines, custom forms or tables.

Information can be moved, copied, sorted, formatted & searched by the usual criteria but also by fonts, colors, type, dates of creation or modification & priority.

Any item can be assigned a 'ToDo' function which automatically rolls over until marked done.

Any item can be emphasized by accelerator notation & any item can be identified with an icon of your choice. [By the way, you can build your own icon library]. These icons also double as action keys to find & open any item in your desktop with a single click.

It allows you to choose your font, to color or highlight it with the color of your choice.

Comments & random notes can be attached to any item or appointment so you can take telephone or appointment notes.

Scheduling and time sensitive comments can be viewed in daily, weekly, bi weekly & monthly formats.

Your calendar week can start on Sun or Mon, your day can begin at 12:01am or 8am or any time in between, your appointment durations can be set by default & pop up alarms to remind you of upcoming events are simple as pie to set.

Date & Time formats are fully customizable.

All data is backed up automatically according to user preferences, or manually, or both & the data's integrity is automatically checked.

Navigation through all this data is amazingly nimble & logical, either by menu or keyboard shortcuts.
